about
Brain Matters was borne out of our involvement with the Hawaii Dementia Initiative, AARP Hawaii, and work with kupuna who were worried about or already experiencing cognitive decline.
Realizing that not enough people knew or understood how lifestyle impacted their brain health, we set out to bring the latest research on lifestyle interventions and fun, practical approaches for implementation to as many people as possible.
mission
Transforming the fear of cognitive decline into the confidence to prevent it. We empower Hawai’i communities with proven strategies to protect their minds, their memories, and their independence.
