maple walnut date energy bites
Having a snack between meals can help keep us fueled during the day, but sometimes the packaged options can be full of sugar and ultraprocessed ingredients that may have a negative impact on our brain health. These walnut date energy bites are made with simple ingredients that keep you full, including omega-3 fatty acids, polyphenols, and antioxidants. The best part? No baking or hot oven required! All you need is a food processor. Store these bites in an airtight container in your fridge for up to 5 days.

- Add all the ingredients except the shredded coconut flakes (if using) into a food processor. Process until it's mashed together and sticky. You may have to pause the processor to stir the ingredients and process some more.
- Once the ingredients are thoroughly mixed, scoop about 1.5 tablespoon of the mix and form into a ball. Continue until you have used up all of the mix.
- If using coconut flakes, gently roll the balls over the coconut.
